Strengthening international global health education
In 2025, we reinforced our leadership in global health education through the tropEd Network. ISGlobal’s E&T Director Núria Casamitjana served as President of the network and co-led the successful tropEd online Summer School. In addition, the University of Barcelona–ISGlobal programme welcomed a historic cohort of 11 tropEd students for the 2025–26 academic year, reflecting the growing attractiveness of the programme within the international global health training community.
Launch of the Master in Applied Clinical Research
2025 marked the launch of the new Master in Applied Clinical Research at the University of Barcelona Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, with ISGlobal coordinating the Global Health track. The programme, designed for students pursuing careers in research and academia, welcomed its first cohort of 11 students, marking an important step in strengthening applied clinical research with a global health perspective.
Advancing ISGlobal’s predoctoral programme
In 2025, we continued to consolidate ISGrow, a new training offer designed to support the professional development of predoctoral researchers. Building on the success of the PhD Supervision training course introduced in 2024, a second edition of the programme was scheduled for early 2026, further strengthening mentoring and supervision capacities within the institution.
